​Institutional Relations, Strategy and Implementation Team​


  • Promoting EIOPA’s role, business strategy and activities as well as preserving and further strengthening EIOPA’s reputation towards the European institutions including through regular contacts, meetings and other engagements; 
  • Managing all contacts and relations with European institutions including public hearings, parliamentary questions, etc.; 
  • Preserving and strengthening EIOPA’s role within the Joint Committee by interacting with representatives of EBA and ESMA through regular contacts and meetings; 
  • Contributing to the efficient cooperation between EIOPA, EBA and ESMA with regard to the Joint Committee; 
  • Managing the smooth running of EIOPA’s decision-making bodies and internal management meetings based on sound processes; 
  • Monitoring and analysing political developments within the European institutions, identifying opportunities with regard to the fulfilment of EIOPA’s mandate and assessing potential areas of reputational risk for EIOPA. 
  • Providing strategic advice to Chair and Executive Director, ensuring that strategy is reflected in EIOPA’s annual and multi-annual planning and reporting instruments managing EIOPA’s corporate planning and reporting processes such as Annual Work Programme, Single Programming Document and Annual Activity Report; 
  • Coordinating corporate risk management as part of the EIOPA’s planning and evaluation processes; 
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating EIOPA’s internal governance arrangements, including the operational coordination and quality assurance processes; 
  • Coordinating corporate business process management activities.
