The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authorities (EIOPA) has extended the deadline for application by the representatives of employees in the EIOPA Insurance and Reinsurance Stakeholder Group (IRSG).
The new deadline is now on Wednesday, 6 January 2016 at 12 noon CET.
For EIOPA it is crucial that employee representation in the IRSG Stakeholder group is properly ensured and therefore extended the deadline.
EIOPA's stakeholder groups facilitate EIOPA's consultation with stakeholders in Europe on issues such as regulatory and implementing technical standards as well as guidelines and recommendations that apply to the insurance and occupational pensions industry.
Members of the stakeholder groups submit opinions and advice to EIOPA on any issue related to its task. Additionally, the stakeholder groups are expected to notify EIOPA of inconsistent application of European Union law as well as inconsistent supervisory practices in the different European Member States.
EIOPA Stakeholder Groups meet at least four times a year in Frankfurt. For the fifth time both groups jointly meet EIOPA's Board of Supervisors.
For employee representatives as well as some other categories accommodation and travel costs are covered by EIOPA.
More information on the Stakeholder Groups, the Call for Expression of Interest and the application documents (in English only) can be obtained from EIOPA's website.
