Our interpretation of the validation rules below is that Duration for  CIC ##4# is allowed to be reported. Can you please confirm our understanding?

BV789: {c0290} like '##1#' or {c0290} like '##2#' or {c0290} like '##5#' or {c0290} like '##6#' --> c0360 <> empty

Message: Duration should be reported for assets with CIC ##1#, ##2#, ##5#, ##6#

BV984: {c0290} like '##3#' or {c0290} like '##7#' or {c0290} like '##8#' or {c0290} like '##9#' --> c0360 = empty

Message: Item "Duration" should not be reported in case of CIC codes ##3#' , '##7#' , '##8#' , '##9#'

EIOPA answer

Yes, duration should be reported for CIC ##4# but only when it is applicable. For example, for collective investments mainly invested in bonds a duration should be reported.
