Biography
Dr. Sabine Mauderer has been Member of the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank since September 2018.
She is responsible for the Directorates Markets, which includes the implementation of monetary policy, as well as Sustainability, Human Resources and Procurement. In this capacity, she is currently Vice-Chair of the "Central banks and Supervisors Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS)", before becoming Chair of the network in the beginning of 2024. Additionally, she is a member of the Exchange Experts Commission.
Prior to her current responsibilities, she held several senior positions at the KfW Banking group and worked as a senior adviser at the Federal Ministry of Finance and at the German Embassy in Washington. Sabine Mauderer was born in Schleswig in 1970. She studied law in Germany and Spain, holds a PhD by the Osnabuck University and an Executive MBA by the ESSEC Mannheim Business School.
