Biography
Torun Reinhammar is Associate Director for Capital Markets Europe at CDP, the global non-profit global non-profit that runs the world’s environmental disclosure system for companies, cities, states and regions. Founded in 2000, CDP pioneered using capital markets and corporate procurement to motivate companies to disclose their environmental impacts. Nearly 20,000 organizations around the world disclosed data through CDP in 2022.
Ms Reinhammar is responsible for CDP's efforts to engage and enable European capital market actors to understand the environmental risks of their businesses, as well as to measure the positive and negative impacts on the environment.
After many years as a financial news journalist, before joining CDP, she worked with ESG topics at the Swedish insurance company Folksam.
She is a member of EIOPA’s stakeholder group for occupational pensions and of the Sustainability Standing Committee Consultative Working Group at ESMA
